These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') govern the access to and use of the mobile application Tiles ('the App'), provided by Vilaseo LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ('we', 'our', or 'us').
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
2. Use of the App
The App enables users to explore maps, create pins and traces, and connect with other users. You agree to use the App lawfully and refrain from activities that may disrupt or damage its operation.
3. User Accounts
Access to the App requires authentication through an Apple ID. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
4. User-Generated Content
You retain all intellectual property rights to the content you create within the App. By uploading or posting such content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to display and distribute it within the App as necessary for functionality.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App (excluding user content) belong to Vilaseo LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the App without prior written consent.
6. Privacy
The processing of personal data in connection with your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available within the App and at support@thetiles.app.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate user access at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or applicable law.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ('Policy') explains how Vilaseo LLC, as the data controller, processes personal data in connection with the mobile application Tiles ('the App').
1. Data Controller and Contact Information
The data controller for the processing of personal data through the App is Vilaseo LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (EIN: 61-2295759), located at 2093 Philadelphia Pike #7586, Claymont, DE 19703, United States. Contact: support@thetiles.app.
2. Categories of Personal Data Processed
- Identification data (Apple ID and iCloud identifiers via Apple’s CloudKit service);
- User profile data (username, avatar, and optional profile information);
- Content data (pins, traces, photos, and text voluntarily created by the user);
- Location data (used to display nearby tiles and unlock content, not continuously tracked);
- Friendship or connection data (optional relationships created within the App).
3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing
Personal data is processed for the following purposes and based on the corresponding legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- To provide and maintain the App’s core functionality — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
- To ensure account authentication and secure storage — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).
- To respond to user inquiries and support requests — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
4. Data Storage and Security
All personal data is stored within Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure, hosted on servers operated by Apple Inc. under GDPR-compliant conditions. The App does not transfer or store any personal data outside Apple’s ecosystem or the European Union.
5. Data Retention
Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above or as required by applicable law. When a user deletes their account or removes the App, related CloudKit records are deleted accordingly.
6. Data Sharing and Transfers
The developer does not sell, rent, or disclose personal data to any third party. Data processing occurs solely through Apple’s infrastructure for technical operation of the App.
7. User Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, users have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of their data, as well as the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for use by individuals under 16 years of age. No data is knowingly collected from minors without parental consent.
9. Updates to This Policy
This Policy may be amended periodically. Users will be notified of material changes through an in-app notice or updated publication. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
