Privacy Policy

Tiles is built to respect your privacy. Your explored world is yours. You decide what to share and with whom. This page explains what we collect, why and what your rights are.

1. What we collect

• Account info. Your name, email, profile picture and how you signed in (Apple, Google).
• Location data. Used to unlock tiles, drop pins and run missions. Stored on your device and synced to your private account.
• Content you create. Pins, photos, missions, ratings.
• Usage data. Basic, anonymous app analytics so we can fix bugs and improve features.

2. How we use it

To run the app, sync your map between devices, deliver the features you ask for and improve Tiles. We never sell your data and we never use it to target you with ads.

3. Sharing

Your explored world is private by default. Pins, missions and stats are only visible to others if you explicitly share or publish them. We share data with third-party processors only when needed to run the service (for example our database host) and only under strict contracts.

4. Location, on your terms

Tiles only tracks location while the app is open or when you opt into background tracking for a mission. You can revoke location access in iOS Settings at any time.

5. Your rights

You can view, export or delete your data from inside the app at any time. You can also email support@thetiles.app and we'll help.

6. Children

Tiles is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us.

7. Changes

If we change anything important we'll let you know in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
